About This Project

DNA exam is a complete scan of artwork, which includes: 

  • XRF analysis for identification of pigment pattern. 
  • Infrared study for identification of a sketch and its pigment. 
  • Macro-photographic analysis by induction of UV radiation for identification of pigment and    its connectors. 
  • Stratigraphy of shiny section for identification of preparation levels and it’s components.  
  • MACRO and microphotography for identification of executional technique.

For a more complete analysis X-Ray gets performed over selected art works.

Our main goal is to preserve the world’s Heritage, so all our analysis are non-invasive.

This serious of diagnostics analysis permits to have a close up on the state of conservation; previous restoration studies; all  layers visibility and much more.
